Our Lesson Horses
Tucker is a vintage Warmblood/TB cross gelding who has done it all! He was a successful 3'6 equitation horse with many ribbons and championships. He now lives a slower-paced life teaching walk/trot/canter and jumping lessons. He is a stately gentleman with lead changes "like butter" who can teach a beginner his or her first trot steps, or can jump courses with tight turns and tricky distances for the more advanced riders.

Pippin is a quirky, funny TB gelding who paid his dues on the race track before coming to Red Sky Farm. He is owned by Lanie Whelpley, who graciously allows us to use him for lessons. He is very, very safe for small, young or beginner riders and will trot quietly around the ring for hours or trot through a gymnastic and a cross rail smoothly and softly. He can also pack a rider around at 2'3 with lead changes, or move it up a notch and do some jumper turns at 3'.

Dunkirk (Dunkin) is a delightful Appaloosa gelding who stands 14.3 1/2 hh. He is kind and very safe, and especially loves children. He gives all riders a sense of peace and safety and is developing a sweet and curious personality.

Juniper is a "vintage model Thoroughbred mare who can do anything! She's best for our advanced riders and still jumps around at 3' with flying changes.
